Discovering the Art of Levitation Photography
I've always been fascinated by the magic of levitation photography, a unique technique that has transformed my creative vision. One day, before a light-painting session, Krio and me decided to experiment with this captivating style where the subject appears to be floating in mid-air.
My Process for Capturing the Perfect Levitation Shot
When it came to capturing the perfect shot, I adjusted my camera settings to ISO 800, a shutter speed of 1/2000, an aperture of f/4, and a focal length of 20mm. I then had my performer, Krio, jump from a static position. Using a remote trigger, I captured the flawless moment of him appearing to levitate.
Performing Post-Production Magic with Photoshop
Post-production is where I truly bring my images to life. In this case, I used Photoshop for noise reduction with Camera Raw, color grading, and removing any distracting details.
Designing a Concept Poster to Emphasize Levitation
Next, I dove into the design process behind my concept poster. I wanted to emphasize the theme of levitation, blending elements of visual arts, human body performance, creativity, and photography.
My Graphic Design Techniques for Poster Creation
In designing the poster, I used typography (Fino Sans sans Asap sans serif) and white space to place Krio at the center of attention. These graphic design techniques have proven invaluable in amplifying my poster designs.
Recording and Editing My Process
To showcase my journey from concept to execution, I recorded my screen while working in Photoshop, edited the footage with Final Cut Pro, and produced a captivating reel.
